After retiring from teaching in 1988 she and A.J. traveled to Russia, Germany, Austria, England, Hawaii and Alaska. They were avid cooks and treated family and friends to many wonderful meals especially on holidays. They learned to square dance and enjoyed gardening and bird watching.
