Sharon Kinsey, age 69 of Johnson City, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2020 in Marble Falls. Funeral Services will be held at 11 am Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple. Burial will follow at Mound Cemetery in Mound, Texas.
Sharon was born August 26, 1950 to J W and Cora M. Kinsey in Fort Hood, Texas. Sharon was a Certified Nurse’s Assistant for 23 years then became an apartment manager in Temple, Houston and San Antonio. She loved gardening, all kinds of crafts and decorating for all holidays. Sharon loved playing cards, bingo, Yahtzee, and old-fashion games, too. She especially liked to cook.. with GREEN food coloring! She cherished every moment with family and loved babysitting for all her nieces and nephews. She was a loving Mema, Nana, Aunt Sharon and “Fro Baby” to some of the older nephews. She will be greatly missed by many.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; son, James Dell Bush; and niece, Angie Ellsey.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her daughter, Brenda Gale Mersiovsky; fiancé, Bill Biddy; granddaughter, Samantha De La Garza; brother, Jerry and wife Connie Kinsey; sisters, Billie Whaley and Brenda Kay Kinsey/Landino; grandson/nephew, Cameron Rossi; nieces, Deborah Gorton, Deanna Kinsey/Solis, Lori Kay Johnson, Lisa Ann Kolz, Cherri Leigh Kinsey/Stewart; and nephews, David James Gorton, Randall Lee Gorton, Billy Wayne Gorton, Jerry Wayne Jr. “Jay” Kinsey, and Chance Ray Kinsey.
A time of visitation will be held at 10 am, prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
