Raymond "Rooster" Kohut

Raymond Lee Kohut, age 60 of Moffat, passed away Monday, April 18, 2022, at home. Services will be held at 10 am Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Temple. Burial will be in Bellwood Memorial Park and Cemetery in Temple.

Raymond was born on September 30, 1961, to Johnnie H. Kohut Sr. and Frances Brenek Kohut in Temple, Texas. He graduated from Temple High School and worked for HEB from 1980 to 1997 and Artco Bell from 1999 to present. He was a member of St. Luke's Catholic Church in Temple.

Raymond is preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie H. Kohut Sr., and Frances Brenek Kohut; and brother, Johnnie H. Kohut Jr.

He is survived by his sisters, Elizabeth A. Arnold, and Marie F. Wolf, both of Temple; one niece; one nephew; and one great niece.

In Lieu of Flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Hospitals for Children.

The family wishes to express a special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Baylor Scott & White Vasicek Cancer Treatment Center.

A time of visitation will be held from 6-8 pm with a rosary recited at 7 pm Monday, April 25, 2022, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.
