Paul Krog

April 28, 1945 — May 4, 2023

Troy

Paul Bennett Krog, age 78 of Troy, passed from this life Thursday, May 4, 2023. Services will be held Monday, May 8, 2023, at 10 am at Harper-Talasek Funeral home in Temple.

Paul was born on April 28, 1945, to James P. and Alma Krog in Ft. Worth, Texas. He married Shirley Ann Graves on September 30, 1970. Paul was a certified Airframe and Powerplant mechanic with inspection authorization. He also had a private pilot's license. Paul was a man of God and an ordained minister. His greatest joy came from his family, and it was very important to him that all his family knew Jesus. Paul enjoyed having a project or hobby to work on. He enjoyed working with Ham Radios; his call sign was KRSOG. He was always doing something around the house. He loved woodworking. He was restoring his 1967 Sunbeam Alpine. He was willing to lend a helping hand with anyone else's project. He learned by doing. Nothing was too big for him. He modeled what a husband, father, grandaddy, and man should be.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Barbara McClesky; and son, Steve Krog.

Those left to honor and cherish his memories are his wife, Shirley A. Krog; brother, Tim Krog and wife, Linda; sister, Nancy Larmon; son, James Krog and wife, Karen; daughter, Tammy Boyd; daughter, Debbie Krog; 17 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Paul's loyal furry friend, Daphne.
