Melissa (Missy) Kay Mitchell was born on October 19, 1965 to John Edwin Morgan and Patricia Rene’ Davis in Temple, Texas. She graduated from Temple High School in 1984 where she was involved in choir, musical theatre, and a twirler for the marching band. Soon after high school, Missy started working at Scott & White Hospital as a unit clerk. She was a lover of all things cooking, Texas Longhorn football, antique hunting, and visiting with friends. Her greatest love was spending time with her grandkids.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John & Patricia Morgan; and sister, Rene’ Waldburger.
Survivors include her husband, Arlon (Skip) Mitchell, Jr; daughter, Amanda Biggs; son, John Paul and wife, Shelby Swaim; daughter, Amanda Warehime; son, Arlon Mitchell III & wife, Caitlyn; sister, Deborah Morgan; nine grandchildren; four nephews and one niece.
