Kathleen Box

Kathleen Box, 62 of Eddy, passed away Monday, July 29, 2019 at her home.  A private graveside service will be held at 11 am on Friday, August 2, 2019 at Mount Zion Cemetery in Bertram, Texas.

Kathleen was born March 22, 1957 to George Monroe Morgan and Melinda Ann Tilley in Denton, Texas. She married Daniel G. Box on May 16, 1990. Kathleen worked as a nurse for 15 years in the Central Texas area.

Kathleen loved spending time with family. She enjoyed crocheting, and had a passion for fishing and playing dominoes. Her charming smile and empathetic heart touched all of those who came in contact with her.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her father, George M. Morgan; husband, Daniel; daughter, Audrey Beebe; and sister, Theressa Black.

Those left to honor and cherish her name are her mother, Melinda A. Morgan; sons, David Lowry, Ernest Stith, and Heath Box; daughter, Christina Culp; brother, George Morgan, Jr.; sisters, Nancy Morgan and Evelyn Herndon; sister-in-law’s, D.J. Box, and Kathy Barrow; brother-in-law, Alton Box; 19 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Interim Hospice, 2420 Wycon Dr., Waco, Texas; Lone Pine Baptist Mission Fund, 299 N. US HWY 287, Palestine, Texas; and McLane Children’s Hematology Oncology General Fund,  2401 S. 31st Street, MS-20-S103, Temple, TX 76508.

A time of visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple, 500 W. Barton Ave.
