Dale Eugene Martin, age 58 of Temple, passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021 at a local hospital. Memorial services will be held at 10 am Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.
Dale was born on September 12, 1962 to Emery Earl and DeElda Joyce Martin in Ft. Rucker, Alabama. He graduated from Killeen High School and married Geneva Martin. Dale was a family man that loved the Lord. He was a jack of all trades and a retired truck driver. He loved to travel and see new sights. Dale enjoyed cooking, to Bar-B-Que, and entertain his family and friends. Dale was a member of the ASPCA Society. He loved animals, especially dogs. There was hardly a moment when he didn’t have a dog trailing after him. He had a big heart and was known for feeding and taking in strays. Dale (AKA “Pops”) also took in all of his kids’ friends and treated them as his own. He was a second dad to a lot of people. He listened to their problems and he made them laugh when they were sad. Dale was a very sharp dresser and he loved to wear hats. Dale was a builder and gave his children pointers on how to do things. His laugh, infectious smile and sense of humor will be greatly missed.
