Wilton W. Woodward died on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at a local care facility.
Woody Woodward was born on August 19, 1925 to Huey Alexandria Woodward and Carrie Ophelia Easterling in Sun, Louisiana. He graduated from high school and served
in the U.S. Army. He fought with the ground troops in Germany during WW2. After his time in service, he attended LSU and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree. He moved to Texas and worked for Texas Instruments until his retirement in the late 80's. At work, Woody was appreciated for his ability to "see" the process in his mind for putting a product together as well as the logistics to get the materials in and the finished product out. He was also an award-winning woodcarver. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was a very loving man. Mr. Woodward enjoyed traveling with his wife, family and friends. His life lesson that he leaves behind is to "pull your own weight".
He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Barbara Woodward; two daughters, Sharon Shepard and husband Mike, and Gail Robertson and husband Rob; two sons, Steve Jones and wife April, and Derek Jones; a sister, Doris Flynn; along with six grandchildren: Tommy, Jason, Katrina, Ben, Lauren and Meagan.
