Wilma Quinn

A memorial service for W. Lanette Quinn will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 3, 2014, at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple, Texas with Kirk Betz officiating.

Ms. Quinn died Tuesday, March 25, 2014, in Round Rock.

Lanette was born May 5, 1940, in Seaton, Texas to Charles Mikulas and Hattie Tidlaska Mikulas. She was musically inclined and, at the age of 16 she left home to tour with Ann Jones and her Western Sweethearts, an allgirl western swing band that toured the western United States. Lanette was an accomplished vocalist and accordion player playing at the Lisa Schnitzel House in Lampasas. She later became a respiratory therapist and worked at Scott White Hospital as well as CRDAMC.

She was preceded in death by her parents her daughter, Becki Quinn her brother Charles Mikulas and a sister, Hattie Rose Lines.

She is survived by a sister, Cathy Long a niece, Janet Higginbottham and several nieces and nephews.

The family suggests that donations in Lanettes name be made to Texas Humane Heros, 5501 Clear Creek Road, Killeen Texas 76549.
