William Walter Sebek, 85, of Temple, passed away on January 30, 2013 at a local hospital. A memorial service will be 10 am Friday, February 1, 2013 at Ocker Brethren Church in Temple.
William was born in Barclay, Texas on July 2, 1927 to the late Joseph and Frances Kolovsky Sebek. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years and retiring. He later worked and retired from the VA Hospital in 1984. He also worked a Scott and White as an Orthopedic Specialist, then was self employed and had a Mobil Gas Station. On June 6, 1953 he married the love of his life Patricia Wahoff. They were married for 59 years. He was a member of the VFW and SPJST.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Frank Sebek, Jerry Sebek, Joseph Sebek, John Sebek, and Daniel Sebek, his sisters Libbie Ledeger, Lydia Surovick, Helen Tome, and Mary Smothermon.
William is survived by his wife Patricia Sebek, Sons Mitchell Sebek and Wife Keyla of Salado, Chris Sebek and wife Melissa of Temple, Daughter Darlene Sebek of Temple, sister, Alice Barr of Austin, brother, Edward Sebek of Bryan, and grandchildren Brandi Sebek, Kyle Sebek, Tyler Sebek, Jenna Sebek, and Jaylee Sebek.
William Sebeks favorite motto was You have to play to win his life is a true reflection of this.
