William Reed

Services for William "Bill" Reed, 76, of Moody will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday, March 22, at North Belton Cemetery with Pastor Sam Callaway officiating.

William Clyde Reed died on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at a local hospital.

William Clyde Reed was born on October 9, 1940 to Clyde Hudgins Reed and Repsey Louise McQueen in Temple, Texas. Bill joined the U.S. Navy in October of 1959. He met and married Carolyn Sue Crelia in June 1960 and together was stationed in Norfolk, Virginia. Upon exiting the US. Navy they returned to Temple in October 1963 and he began employment with Ralph Wilson Plastics. Mr. Reed retired in May 1994 after 31 years of employment. He served faithfully and was a member of the Calvary Baptist church in Temple.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Anita Clair Tibbit; brother, Thomas Wayne Reed and a great grandson, Tyson Clyde Walters.

Survivors include wife, three sons, Leslie Reed and wife Charisse, William R. Reed and wife Melinda, Bradley Reed; two sisters, Mary Lou Howard and husband Stan, Linda Embrey and husband Brad; Six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Arrangements are in the care of Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.
