William Liesch, Jr.

alignjustifyWilliam A. Liesch, Jr. 90, of Lafayette, Louisiana formerly of Temple, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2008. Visitation will be 5pm-7pm Wednesday, July 23 at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00am Thursday, July 24 at St. Marys Catholic Church in Temple. Father Jim Deaconson will officiate. Burial will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park.

alignjustifyWilliam Liesch, Jr. was born October 19, 1917 to William and Elfrieda Jobski Liesch in Chicago, Illinois. He was married to Florence Krutkiewicz Liesch on June 29, 1940 in Aberdeen, South Dakota. He later moved from McAllen, Texas to Temple. He retired from the V.A. Hospital in Temple, where he worked as a Pharmacist for 20 years. Mr. Liesch served as President of the Texas Hospital Pharmacists Association, and was a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus. He was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church in Temple.

alignjustifyMr. Liesch is preceded in death by his wife, parents, and brother, Leroy Leisch.

alignjustifySurvivors are daughter Tina Gordon of Lafayette, grandchildren; Billie Jo Carter, Tracie Handel, and Vaughn Gordon, and 3 great-grandchildren
