William Chapman

Graveside services with military honors for William Dunn Chapman, 75, of Temple will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 21, at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.

Mr. Chapman died Thursday, August 15, at the William R. Courtney Veterans Home in Temple.

He was born October 29, 1938, in Wharton, Texas to Andrew Jackson and Thelma Burnie Johnson Chapman. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. After his retirement from military service in 1977, Mr. Chapman worked for the Austin Independent School District.

Mr. Chapman was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Thelma, and by two brothers, Richard and Jack Chapman.

He is survived by his brother, John, and by a son, Darron T. Chapman of Tennessee.
