William Bulls

William Lewis Bulls, age 86 of Troy, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple. Burial will be in Bellwood Memorial Park and Cemetery in Temple.

William was born on April 23, 1935, to Robert and Louzell (Jennings) Bulls in Troy, Texas. He married Barbara (Clinard) Bulls on January 12, 1962. William worked for Temple Glass & Mirror for 53 years. He enjoyed sandblasting images on mirrors and giving them away as gifts. He was a member and usher of Keys Valley Baptist Church. William was a great friend to all, a joker that always made people laugh, and never met a stranger. He greatly loved his church family.

William is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, RL Bulls, and Richard Bulls; and sisters, Brooksie Corley, Eunice Huffhines, and Doris McPherson.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara Bulls; brother, Bob Bulls; sons, Robert Lewis Bulls, and Roger Wayne Bulls and wife, Kimberly; daughter, Vickie Lynn (Bulls) Blackwood; grandchildren, Lewis E. Blackwood and wife, Paula, Zac Bulls and wife, Madison, Elizebeth Blackwood, Jonathan Bulls, Justin Mercer, and Curtis Mercer and wife, Erin; and great grandchildren, Braelynn Bulls, Beckett Bulls, Garmon Blackwood, Rylie Blackwood, Wyatt Blackwood, Parker Mercer, and Payton Stanford.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate in William’s honor to a charity of your choice.

The family also wishes to express a special thank you to the Bell County Deputies, the Troy Volunteer Fire Department, and Temple EMS.

A time of visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Friday, April 8, 2022, at the funeral home.
