William Bogan, Jr.

William R. Bill Bogan, Jr. passed away, Saturday, January 14, 2012 at his home. No memorial service is planned at this time.

Mr. Bogan was born in Granger, Texas, on October 2, 1926, to William Robert Bogan, Sr., and Gladys May Erwin Bogan. He attended schools in Granger and Bryan, Texas. He served in the U.S. Merchant Marines and the U.S. Army during WWII.

He attended Shelby County School of Aeronautics in Memphis, Tennessee. He retired after 27 years with Federal Civil Service as an Aircraft Electronics Technician He married Joyce Elaine Fathauer on February 28, 1947 in Brenham Presbyterian Church. Mr. Bogan was an inactive member of Temple Brethren Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Earley Bogan.

He is survived his wife, Joyce of Temple, sisterinlaw Velma Fathauer of Brenham and several nieces, nephews and their families.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a Church or Charity of choice.
