Wilburn Jackson, Jr., 72, of Temple, passed away, Friday, May 11, 2012 at a local hospital. A Funeral Service will be 2:00pm, Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at HarperTalasek Funeral Home Chapel, Temple, TX. Burial will follow in Belfalls Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6:008:00pm, Monday, May 14, 2012 at the funeral home.

Wilburn, Jr. was born August 7, 1939 in Bell County, Texas, the son of the late Wilburn Jackson, Sr., and Frances Virginia Wofford Jackson. On December 16, 1961, he married Gloria Meyer in Temple, Texas. He worked as a mechanic, and in 2002 he retired from FisherVincentFord. He was a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Temple, TX and loved to garden.

Wilburn is survived by his wife of 50 years, Gloria Jackson of Temple son, John Jackson and wife Tonya of Temple, TX daughters, Kimberly Jackson of Belton, TX Michelle Anderson and husband Donald of Temple, TX sister, Bonnie Mitchell of Belton 6 grandchildren, John Mathew Jackson, Bobby Joe Jackson, Cody Jackson, Haley Anderson, Skylar Anderson, Abbie Schaefer, great grandchild, Alexander Jackson stepgrandchildren, Kristopher Schneider, Kasey Smith, 5 step, great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends.
