Wilbert Richter

Graveside services for Wilbert Louis Richter, 83, of Moody, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 16, at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in The Grove with Pastor John Heckman officiating.

Mr. Richter passed away Wednesday, June 13, in Temple.

Wilbert Louis Richter was born September 14, 1934 in The Grove, Texas to Louis Richter and Ida A. Wilhelm Richter. Wilbert was a life-long resident of the Temple area and worked on ranches all of his life. He was a Lutheran by faith and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Wilbert loved the outdoors; loved to fish; and loved animals, especially dogs. He was a beloved son, brother, and uncle and will be dearly missed.

Wilbert was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Leona Fischer and Lavern Hohhertz. He is survived by his brother Aubrey Richter and wife Dorothy of The Grove; sister Inez Richter of Temple; and nephews Marshall Richter and Jeromy Richter.

Visitation will be from 9 - 10 a.m. prior to the service at St. Paul Lutheran Church in The Grove.

Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple is in charge of arrangements.
