Virginia Palomino

January 9, 1953 — January 9, 2018

Mass for Virginia Palomino, 65, of Temple will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, January 15, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Temple with Father Tom Chamberlain officiating with graveside services at Hillcrest Cemetery, followed by meal and fellowship at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church Hall.

Mrs. Virginia Palomino went to her Heavenly Home on Tuesday, January 9, at her residence.

Virginia Palomino "Virgi" was born on January 9, 1953 to Carmelo Sisneros and Francisca Padilla in Rosebud, Texas. She was married for 45 years to Michael Palomino, Sr. on May 27, 1972 in Rosebud and started their family together in Temple. She was a proud mother and loved all children as she volunteered extensively at the school throughout each of her children's education, and was known as "Mrs. Mom." She was there for support for her family and friends and always welcomed everyone with an open heart. She was a selfless woman, and everyone knew they could call her for help. She enjoyed the simple things in life, time with her children and grandchildren, dancing with her husband, playing bingo with her friends, trips to play slots, consignment shopping for purses, scary movies, playing left right center, collecting jewelry and joking around with family and friends. She was a social butterfly and made friends everywhere she went. Her personality lit up a room and she touched many lives. She was always the first to arrive and the last to leave at family parties. She leaves behind the life lesson of Love and enjoying life! Love yourself, thy neighbor and our Lord. She was a devout Catholic and member of the Our Lady Guadalupe Catholic Church of Temple.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years; son, Michael Palomino Jr. and Lisa Vasek; two daughters, Leticia Samarripa and husband Benjamin, Sara Palomino and Saul Romo; four brothers, Andrew Sisneros and wife Susie, Jessie Sisneros and wife Mary, Raymond Sisneros and wife Linda, Benjamin Cobos and wife Virginia; one sister, Benita Sisneros; along with three grandchildren, Lauren, Jacob and Mia.

A special thank you to Dr. McCormick, her nurses and providers at BSWH, Fr. Tom Chamberlain, Fr. Vincent, and all the family and friends for their support throughout.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 14, 2018 from 5:00 - 7:00 with Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 pm at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.
