Virginia Knight

Virginia Ann Knight, age 69 of Temple, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2020 in the comfort of her home. A memorial visitation will be held from 2 – 4 pm Wednesday, August 5, 2020 in the Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Chapel in Temple.

Virginia was born on March 18, 1951 to Chambers and Anna Mae (Howell) Lykins in Austin, Texas. She worked for many years as a dietary manager at Crestview Manor Nursing Center in Belton and was so greatly loved and appreciated for the hard work and dedication she showed toward not only her job and patients, but her fellow employees as well. Virginia was a fun and loving sister, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed playing Facebook games, loved playing bingo, and was a fan of Lifetime and Hallmark movies. She was greatly loved by her family and friends and she will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

Virginia is preceded in death by her first husband, Larry Louis Tuerck; second husband, Billy Bob Knight; brother, A.C. Lykins; brother, Rollins D. Lykins; sister, Barbara J. Lykins Cota; brother, Richard H. Lykins; and brother, James D. Lykins.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her sister, Bonnie M. Lykins Cole; son, Larry Dee Tuerck; son, Louis Edward Tuerck; daughter, Melissa Ann Tuerck Arroyo; and grandchildren, Robert Brian Tuerck Trevino, Justin Ricardo Arroyo, Joseph Michael Tuerck, Mikayla Leeann Tuerck, Robert Willis Vinson-Tuerck, Joe Mike Tuerck, Gilbert C. Knodel, and Charles A. Knodel.

The family will also host a small gathering of family and friends after the visitation at the Moffat Volunteer Fire Department; 5660 Lakeaire Blvd, Temple, Texas 76502.
