Viola Lutz

Services for Viola A. Lutz, 88, of Manor, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 15, at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple with Pastor Steve Clem and Susan Rang officiating. Burial will follow at Temple Garden of Memories in Troy.

Mrs. Lutz died Friday, July 11, at a local hospital.

She was born January 31, 1926 in Tyrone, PA. to parents Harry T. Irvin and Rhoda C. Irvin. She and her husband, Robert, chose to make Texas their home in 1996 and she resided in Troy until this past January. Although not an active member of any particular church, she enjoyed visiting different churches and was a devout Christian. Viola was a homemaker and loved to spend time with her family, traveling, shopping and playing bingo. She enjoyed crafting and reading and will be missed by everyone.

Viola was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Robert Lutz of Troy and by brothers Robert Irvin and Ralph Irvin.

She is survived by sisters, Jeanette Phillips and Jean Cannistraci of Pa. She is also survived by 2 children, Richard Lutz and wife Anne of Warriors Mark, Pa., Barbara Finger and husband Brian of Manor, Tx., Grandchildren, Ken and Barb Lutz of Spruce Creek, Pa. and their children, Cody, Jesse, Riley and Caitlin. Kelly and Justin Williams of Tyrone, Pa., Chris and Heather Ferman of Belton Tx. and their children, Makayla, Braden, and Kaleb., Amy Ferman and Jaime Gonzalez and their son, Marcos of Troy Tx.

Visitation will be from 6 8 p.m. Monday, July 14, at the funeral home.

HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple is in charge of arrangements.
