Vincent Perez

Services for Vincent Perez, Sr., 92, of Temple, will be 10 a.m. Thursday, March 6, 2014, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Temple with Rev. Tom Chamberlain officiating.

Mr. Perez died Saturday, March 1, at a local hospital.

He was born January 22, 1922 in Oenaville, Texas to Manuel and Romana Robles Perez. He served with the United States Army in the Philippines during World War II, earning the Victory Medal, the Meritorious Unit Award, the Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon, the Philippine Liberation Ribbon, and the Good Conduct Medal. He was employed with American Desk and Ralph Wilson Plastics for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Ester Perez.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline a son, Vincent Perez, Jr. three daughters, Carmen Nunez, Guadalupe Davis, and Rachel P. Wilson a sister, Jovita Castaneda five grandchildren, and ten greatgrandchildren.

Visitation will be 68 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple. Recitation of rosary will be at 7 p.m.
