Tony Yepez, Sr.

Tony Yepez, Sr., 87, died Friday, March 6th, 2009 in a local hospital. Funeral mass will be 10:00am Monday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Temple with Rev. Tom Chamberlain officiating. Burial will follow in Temple Garden of Memories in Temple.

Tony Yepez, Sr. was born October 19, 1921 to Francisco and Jesusa Guzman Yepez in Pendelton, Texas. On February 8, 1948, he married Rosa Hernandez at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Temple. Mr. Yepez served our country in the United States Army. He worked as a machine operator at American Desk for 37 years. He retired in 1987. Tony Yepez, Sr. was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Temple, where he was also a member of Santo Nombre.

Preceding him in death are his parents and 1 grandchild. BRBRSurvivors include: wife Rosa Yepez of Temple, sons; Tony Yepez Jr., Ruben Yepez Sr., David Yepez, and Ricky Yepez, all of Temple, daughters; Hopie Cantu and Rosemary Caldera, both of Temple, sister, Rosa Herrera of Houston, 24 grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Building Fund, 707 S 6th St, Temple, TX 76504.

Visitation will be 6-8pm Sunday at Harper Talasek Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited at 7:00pm.
