Tomasa Garcia

Tomasa O. Garcia, 96, of Temple passed away on April 23, 2013 at a local hospital in Temple. Services will be Friday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church Temple at 10 am with Father Tom Chamberlain officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Temple.
Tomasa was born on December 23, 1916 to Cipriano and Trinidad Guadalcasar Olivares in Coupland Texas. She was a lifetime member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and a former member of the Guadalupanas. She married the love of her life Jose Garcia.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Alfonso Olivares, Domingo Olivares, Paublo Olivares, and her sisters Isabel Olivares and Margaret Rodriguez, one son Albert Garcia, and a grandson Victor Mares Jr. and grand daughter Silvana Mares.
She is survived by a daughter Mary Mares of Temple, one sister Marcella Ruiz and one brother Tacho Olivares both of Temple, and grandkids Olga, Mike, Becky, Yole, Eloy, Lilly, Robert, Maria, Stella, Rosie and Albert, twenty eight great grandchildren, thirty one greatgreat grandchildren, one greatgreatgreat grandchild, and a host of dear friends.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home HarperTalasek Temple on Thursday from 6 to 8 PM with a rosary at 7 PM.
