Services for Thurl Clay "T.C." Reeder, 80, of Temple will be 3:30 p.m. Friday, November 20 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with Danny Brey and Mat Ledbetter officiating. Interment will follow at Dyess Grove Cemetery in Temple.

T.C. Reeder passed away Monday, November 9th at a care facility in McGregor, Texas.

T.C. was born February 20, 1935 in Jester, Texas to Evan Azer and Eunice Woodard Reeder. He married Linda Kay Kyser on May 5th in Corsicana. They lived in the Bell County community since 1965. T.C. retired as a Foreman from Bell County with 26 years. He was a member of National Cutting Horse Association, American Quarter Horse Association, American Cutting Horse Association, American Quarter Horse Breeder, was in the Bell County Cowboy Hall of Fame, and a Derby Finalist in the National Cutting Horse Association. T.C. was a hard worker, loved children, enjoyed to go on wagon trail rides, and was the best horse trainer around. His passions were horses, children, and his friends and family.

Preceded in death by brothers; Monroe A. Reeder, Jerry Reeder, and Buddy Reeder; sisters; Glydis and Letha.

Survivors include his wife; his son, Benny Raines; a grandson, Jesse Raines; a grand-daughter, Sara; brother, Ronnie Reeder; and sister, Verena Luce.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday, November 19 at the funeral home.
