Thomas Peden Rogers

Thomas Peden Rogers of McGregor, Texas passed away peacefully at home on July 10, 2024. Peden was known for his jovial, fun-loving spirit and deep fondness of the ocean. He was a beloved husband, father, grandpa and friend who will be dearly missed by those who had the honor of knowing him.

Peden was born on November 6, 1955 in Houston, Texas. He grew up in Rockport, Texas, and graduated from Rockport Fulton High School before earning his Bachelor of Business Administration at Texas State University (formerly, Southwest Texas State University).

In the mid-'80s, Peden met co-worker Jeana at Houston Natural Gas Corporation. The two fell in love and were married on March 26, 1988. Throughout their 36-year marriage, Peden and Jeana raised three daughters and spent lots of time traveling the world together.

Peden was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Sr., as well as his mother, Ardath, and his sister, Jane. He is survived by his wife, Jeana, as well as his daughters, Lanette (Brian) Perry, Kayla Jane and her fiancé Daniel, Sierra (Gary) Froniewski, and two grandsons, Oliver and Elijah.

In due time, a private celebration of life will be held for Peden in McGregor, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the Texas Coastal Conservation Association (CCA) as Peden was raised on the Gulf Coast and harbored a great appreciation for the beach his whole life.
