Thomas E. Gunn

Thomas E. Gunn, 90, passed away December 23, 2014, in Austin. A private family celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

Thomas was born January 16, 1924 in Troy, Texas to John Butler Gunn and Minnie Floyd Crawford Gunn. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, where he served as a radioman on ships that delivered ammunition during WWII. He married Marjorie Ruth Hobbs in 1947 and their marriage lasted until her death in 2001. Thomas lived in Temple until 1966, during which time he and Marjorie had four children. They then moved to Houston to establish his acoustical ceiling business. In 2006 he moved to a retirement community in Austin.

Mr. Gunn is survived by his children, Robert Gunn and wife Mimi, David Gunn, Gaye G. Miller and husband Greg, and Nancy Gunn; and sister, Ramona Oliver. He was blessed with nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
