Belton Services for Thomas James Curtis, 57, of Temple will be held at 10 am Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at the HarperTalasek Funeral Home Chapel in Belton with Pastor Tom Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in Harper Cemetery in Harper, Texas.
Mr. Curtis passed away Thursday, November 13, 2014 in Temple.
Thomas was born on July 31, 1957 in LaCrosse, Wisconsin to Floyd and Marie Averkamp Curtis. He served in the U.S. Army and was a graduate of the University of Mary Hardin Baylor. Thomas was raided on a farm and had a career in manufacturing.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Curtis his father, Floyd Curtis and a sister, Judith Sorenson.
Survivors include his loving wife, Sharon Curtis a son, Matthew Curtis and wife Dayna a daughter, Courtney Curtis and fianc Matthew Dickey 4 grandchildren, Lilyth Curtis, Kevin Curtis, Jaxon Dickey and Desean Foxworth. He is also survived by his stepmother, Gloria Curtis his siblings, Eileen Kraemer, Ronald Curtis and wife Sandy, Dave Curtis, Janet Line, Diane Noble, Barbara Biddick and husband Donald, and Alice Daddario and husband Mike stepsiblings, Susan Thole, Barbara Thompson, Mike Winkler, Emily Pitzen, Daniel Winkler and Vince Winkler and multiple nieces and nephews.
The family will receive visitors Monday, November 17, 2014 from 6:008:00 pm in the HarperTalasek Funeral Home Chapel in Belton.
