Mrs. Thelma Barnes, 82, of Temple, died Wednesday, February 25, 2009 in a Temple hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at Hillcrest Cemetery in Temple with Rev. Roy Parker officiating.

Mrs. Barnes was born to John and Bessie Morrow Kemp in Waco on May 2, 1926. She married Roy C. Barnes in Waco on April 21, 1945. She had been a resident of Temple for the past 40 years, moving here from Waco. She was a homemaker.
br
Survivors include her husband, Roy C. Barnes of Temple; one daughter, Janice Young of South Padre Island; two grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Douglas Barnes in 2004.
