Theda Stewart

Val passed away on February 13 in Chandler Arizona surrounded by her loving family.She was born in Haskell, Texas to Mr and Mrs Joe Maples. In 1938, she graduated from the Scott and White School of Nursing.Val married Lee L. Stewart in June of 1941. They made a happy life in the U.S. Army living in many places including Japan, Cuba and Germany. After their retirement in Temple, she was a member of the Scott and White Alumni Association, the Temple Garden Club and the Daughters of the American Revolution.She is survived by her daughter, Jo Ann Muir of Sun Lakes, Arizona granddaughter, Melissa Krewson grandson Patrick Muir and his wife, Denise and expected baby girl great grandson, Matthew Krewson all of Tempe, Arizona and many loving nieces and their husbands and children. Visitation for Theda Valentine Stewart will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 21 at HarperTalesak Funeral Home. Graveside services will be starting at 4:00 p.m. at Bellwood Memorial Park on Monday, February 22. She will be missed by all.
