Terry Don Hutchens

On the day of June 15, 2023, Terry Don Hutchens of Little River Academy, Texas passed away at St David's Hospital (Round Rock, Texas) during cardiac surgery. Services will be held Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with a visitation starting at 12 noon, and services to follow at 2 pm. Inurnment will be held at Goree Cemetery at a later date.

Terry was born in Livermore, California to Don and Claudette 'Polly' Hutchens. He spent most of his life in Seymour, Texas and graduated high school from Olney High School (Olney, Texas) in 1984. Terry went to college at DeVry University in Irving, Texas, where he received his Associate of Applied Science in Electronics degree. He continued his career in the Information Technology field at various companies, including Compaq Computer Corporation (Houston, TX) for 15 years and most recently McLane Company (Temple, TX) for a tenure of 14 years. Terry loved football, was a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan, and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially traveling to sight see. A couple of his favorite trips included Hawaii, Montana, the Grand Canyon, and Colorado. He had extensive knowledge about music spanning decades and was passionate about researching his family's ancestry.

Terry is preceded in death by his mother, Claudette 'Polly' Hutchens, and uncle, Ronnie Hutchens.

He is survived by his wife, Laura Nulty Hutchens, married June 27, 1992; daughters, Lauren Hutchens (28) and Kristen Hutchens (26); father, Don Hutchens; sister, Darla (Tony) Alford; and numerous sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, and nieces and nephews.
