Teddy Jack Roe

Teddy Jack Roe, age 87 of Troy, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family, after a lengthy illness on Saturday, November 4, 2023.

He was born December 12, 1935, in Burleson, Texas to Thomas C. Roe and Bernice Glover Roe. Ted graduated from Aledo High school and worked for the Department of Soil Conservation as a construction inspector.

If Ted ever met you, you were his friend. He was kind and loyal to everyone he met. He was a doting father and grandfather and enjoyed his life on his farm.

Ted leaves behind his wife of 66 years, Gail Roe; daughter, Brenda Davis and her husband, Wayne of New Braunfels; daughter, Christi Sims and her husband, George of New Braunfels; son, Thomas Wesley Roe and his wife, Aom of Troy; six grandchildren, Justin, Joshua and Jacob Davis, and Shailey Roe DeBroeck, Caroline Sims Butterworth, and Catherine Sims.

Ted is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Tommy Roe; and his two sisters, Betty Higgins, and Dorothy Whisenant.

Visitation will be held at 1 pm, Thursday, November 9, 2023, with services following at 2 pm at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple. There will be a private, family graveside burial to follow.
