Sylvia Louise Neal

Sylvia Louise Neal, age 79 of Rogers, passed from this life Monday, June 12, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple. Burial will be in Reeds Lake Cemetery.

She was born on August 16, 1943, to Maudie Hill Mitchell in Bartlett, Texas. She graduated from Rogers High School and married Henley Foster “Bootsie” Neal. She retired from Hancock Fabric in Temple. She loved to tend her beautiful flower gardens and spend time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. They were the light in her life. She loved to bake for her family. She made world class pralines, and pecan and dewberry pies. She loved to go on adventurous day trips. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed sewing for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Rogers.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Maudie Hill Mitchell; husband, Henley Foster “Bootsie” Neal; sister, Willie Maude Aulie; and granddaughter, Amanda Diane Freshour.

Survivors include son, David Lynn Neal and wife, Carla; daughters, Cynthia Louise Wiley, and Sylvia Diane Hubnik New and husband, Jerry; 5 grandchildren, Mindy Hubnik, Michael Hubnik, Shelby Asch, Jacob Neal, and Matthew Freshour; and 2 great grandchildren, Caleb Cabrera, and Abigail Asch.

Memorials may be made to Feat-NT, Autism Speaks, and the Rogers Community Alliance.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Ben and Margie Lopez for always being there for mom.

A time of visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at the funeral home.
