Suzanne Mcdaniel

Services for Suzanne Williams McDaniel, 59, of Temple will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 14 at First United Methodist Church in Temple with Pastor Tom Robbins officiating. Please wear red to the service to honor Mrs. McDaniel.

Mrs. McDaniel passed peacefully in her home on Friday, December 8, 2017.

Mrs. McDaniel was born on January 14, 1958 to Louie Edward Williams and Anne Mitchell Williams in Hampton, Virginia. She graduated in 1976 from Hampton High School. She furthered her education with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, Virginia. After graduating college, Mrs. McDaniel worked in Washington D.C. as a Lobbyist during the Reagan Administration for a short time before moving to Texas with her husband. She retired as a Master Math Teacher after 20 years teaching for the Temple Independent School District. She was a member of Leadership Temple and St. Marks United Methodist Church in Hampton, VA.

She is preceded in death by her step-son, Matthew McDaniel.

Survivors include her parents, L. Edward Williams and Anne Mitchell Williams of Hampton, VA; husband, Anthony Mark McDaniel of Temple; daughter, Anne-Wilson Smith and husband Jeffery Smith of Houston; step-daughter, Jeannie Moore and husband Billy Moore of Nolanville; two brothers-in-law, Paul McDaniel and wife Shelly McDaniel of Temple, Kevin McDaniel and wife Addie McDaniel of Oklahoma City, OK; along with three grandchildren, Shaun, Nathaniel, and Sophia Moore.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 13 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.

Arrangements are in the care of Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.
