Susie Lancaster

Susie Foxworth Lancaster, 75 of Temple, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2020 at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas. Funeral Services will be held at 4 pm Thursday, June 4, 2020 in the Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Chapel in Temple.

Sue was born in Fortson, Georgia on August 6, 1944 to Roy Foxworth Sr. and Vera Marie Knotts. She grew up in Cataula, Georgia. She married John Lancaster of Temple, Texas on June 19, 1993. She was a homemaker who enjoyed playing bingo, gardening, and cooking. She was a member of the American Legion.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Marie Foxworth, five brothers, Roy Foxworth Jr., William Ray Foxworth, Harvey Foxworth, David Paul Foxworth and Forrest Gene Foxworth, and three sisters, Lenette Knight, Vera Hydel, and Betty Tilmon.

She is survived by her husband, John Lancaster of Temple, Texas, one son, Richard Zeinert (Beth) of Carrollton, Texas, one brother, James Foxworth of Columbus, Georgia, one sister, Margie Quinton of Dawsonville, Georiga, two grandchildren, James and Hannah Zeinert of Carrollton, Texas, and many nieces and nephews.

Honorary pallbearers are Richard Zeinert, James Zeinert, Robin Ray, Curt Nichols, Bret Wilson, and J.T. Hilyer.

Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.

A time of visitation will be held from 3 – 4 pm Thursday, June 4, 2020, prior to services.
