Susan Huskey

“Help me relax, Lord!”

“Oh, that I had wings of a dove! I would fly away and be at rest.”

Susan Patricia Huskey, a loving mother, wife, grandmother, and friend ascended to the heavens Sunday, October 20, 2024, at age 67, after spending a lifetime helping others along their journey. Private family services will be held at a later date.

Susan is preceded by her parents, Charles and Jean Watts, and her little brother, Charlie.

Those left to cherish all the magical memories include her husband, John Huskey; sisters and brothers in Arkansas and Missouri; daughter, Trina Herring; three sons, Cory High, Raymond Huskey, and Alfred Huskey; 19 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren, who will definitely carry her loving heart and devotion for years to come.

The family wishes to thank the teams of nurses and doctors at Scott & White Medical Center for the many years they have given them after her battle with cancer.

Susan will be missed and remembered as the life of any party. Her presence attracted so many and her caring and thoughtfulness kept the right people by her side throughout the years.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Susan’s name.

Susan’s legacy of kindness and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but not forgotten. Rest in peace, Susan, knowing that you left an indelible mark on the world.
