Dr. Sterling Robertson McLeanBRBR1931-2007BRBRSterling Robertson McLean, a fifth generation Texan, passed away on Sept. 28, 2007, after a year long illness. Sterling was born in Belton in 1931, the son of Dallas Duncan McLean and Gladys Robertson McLean. He graduated from Austin High School and received his BBS, MBA, and PhD degrees from the University of Texas at Austin. He taught business administration at Bradley University, Ohio State University, North Carolina State University, and the University of Mary Hardin Baylor. After retiring, Sterling moved to Palo Alto, California, to be near his sister Gladyne Reed. He is survived by his brother, Dr. Malcolm D. McLean of Georgetown, nephew, John Robertson McLean of Jarrell, and niece, Roberta Ling of Palo Alto, California. The funeral will be at the Salado Cemetery on Saturday, Oct. 6, at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.
