Private family services for Stephen Cornell Seaburg, 68, of Belton will be held at a later date.
Mr. Seaburg died Friday, April 15th at a local hospital.
He was born on May 24, 1947 in Jamestown, New York to Cornell Seaburg and Thelma Floyd Seaburg. Stephen graduated from Houghton Academy in New York. He also attended college at the University of Kentucky. He proudly served in the Air Force during the Viet Nam Era. He retired in 2007 from the Manatee County Sheriff's Department as a Purchasing Agent. Stephen was a family man who cared about his children and friends. He would show his care through loyalty and a lending ear. His generosity was his fault. Stephen knew how to have a good time dancing, singing, and traveling. He was a sailor and captured moments in his artwork. His hobbies were ship building, gambling and watching golf. He was a member of the Sarasota Sailing Squadron and a former member of an Elks Lodge.
His memories will be cherished by his survivors including wife, Sandy, the love of his life; six sons, Ernest Seaburg and wife Elizabeth, Doug Chapman and the late John Shirley, Roy Gene Long and wife Cindy, Greg Chapman, Kevin Chapman, Jason Dunn and wife Kim; three daughters, Audrey Williams, Trisha Seaburg, and Rachael DeCoursey; a sister, Carol Halberg; fourteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Stephen's name to a charity of your choice.
