Socima Moreno

Mrs. Socima Moreno, 88, of Temple, died Saturday, October 10, 2009 in a Temple nursing center.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with Rev. Helen Maxwell officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Temple.

Mrs. Moreno was born to Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Rangel on March 30, 1921 in San Saba, Texas. She was a lifelong resident of Temple. She was a member of El Divino Salvador Methodist Church in Temple. Mrs. Moreno was a homemaker.

Survivors include two sons, Jacinto Moreno, Jr. of Las Vegas, Nevada and Marcello Moreno of Hewitt; one daughter, Dianne Romero of Temple; eleven grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; and thirteen great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacinto Moreno, Sr. and two sons, Isabel Moreno and Clemente Moreno.

Visitation will be Monday from 7-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
