Simon Lopez

Services for Simon Lopez, age 65, of Rogers, will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 17, 2014, at St. Marys Catholic Church in Temple. Visitation will be 67 p.m. Sunday, March 16 at the funeral home, with recitation of rosary from 78 p.m.

Mr. Lopez passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2014.

He was born October 7, 1948, in Taylor, Texas to Sipriano Pete and Lillian Lopez. He was a machine operator for over forty years for BNSF railroad.

He was preceded in death by his father and his brother, Joe Leyendecker.

Simon is survived by his wife, Mary Matamoros Lopez of Rogers and their daughter, Jennifer Lopez of Rogers five grandchildren, Carlos, Victoria, Rayleen, Taylor and Kendall his mother, Lillian of Thorndale brother Ben Lopez of Rogers sister Margaret Hinostrosa of Thorndale sister Pauline Leyendecker of Thorndale brother Ernest Lopez of Bastrop sister Esther Bray of Arlington sister Elsa Lopez of Austin and many nieces and nephews.
