Sharon Cheatham

Sharon (McDaniel) Cheatham, age 62 of Temple, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2020 at a local hospital. A memorial service will be held by the family at a later date and she will be buried in Mississippi with her parents.

Sharon was born on December 25, 1957 to Major Chris and Katie Langston Cheatham in Honolulu, HI. She graduated from Killeen High School in 1975, attended Mary Hardin Baylor University, and graduated from the King’s Daughters School of Nursing. She was a pediatric special needs nurse. Sharon had a loving heart for children and spent her nursing career caring for home bound, special needs kids. She had a quick wit and snappy sense of humor. She considered herself a “southern gal” and held her friends close to her heart. Sharon enjoyed traveling, dancing, and dining with friends. She loved antiques and found beauty in vintage pieces. Sharon was a member of Bethel Assembly of God.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Major Chris Cheatham and Katie Langston Cheatham.

She is survived by her brother, Douglas Cheatham and wife, Zora Ficarra; and son, Santana Cheatham McDaniel.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in Sharon’s name to the Child Protective Services or the Foster Care Programs in your area.
