Scott Sibley, 38, of Oenaville, Texas passed from this life on December 2, 2012 at a Temple Hospital. Scott was born on December 11, 1973 in Shreveport, La. and was never married. At the time of his passing he lived with his parents, Joy and Michael Flynn in Oenaville, Texas. Scott had a deep love of music and played classical guitar, keyboard and trumpet. His foremost love was his guitar, which he played beautifully. Scott was a senior at UMHB where he majored in Computer Programming and minored in Music. He had taken a Hiatus because of recurring health problems, but was hoping for a return to finish the credits he needed for graduation. Scott loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor. His many nieces and nephews were one of his greatest joys. He loved to watch them play and they always put a smile on his face. Scott had many and varied hobbies. One of his favorite pastimes was writing. He was prolific and passionate about his writing. His repertoire was varied from essays, poems, and musings. Other hobbies included coding programs for Android phones and collecting penguin memorabilia. He had an impossible dream of one day owning a pet penguin, He also loved cats.
Scott is survived by his parents Joy and Michael Flynn and 4 siblings, Kristi Walker of Holland, Texas, Lisa Sibley of Holland, Texas, Matt Sibley of Troy, Texas and Joe Sibley of Temple, Texas, their spouses and children, many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father Woodrow Butch Sibley and a sister Mary Joy and both sets of grandparents.
Scott will be greatly missed by his loving family. They will forever hold him in their hearts.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, December 16, 2012 at 1pm at Oenaville First Baptist Church 6161 Dudley Rd. Troy, Tx. 76579 with Steve Slaughter officiating.
The Family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Scott Sibley Benefit Memorial Account at Extraco Bank in Temple, Texas.
