Sandra Gribble

Graveside services for Sandra Jane Gribble, 77, of Temple, will be 1:00 pm Thursday May 14, 2015 at Temple Garden of Memories with Pastor Carter officiating.

Sandra Jane Gribble passed away on Monday, April 27, 2015, at her residence in the care of Gentiva Hospice.

Sandra was born on September 16, 1937 to Thomas Allen Chapman and Arah Lou Fowler Chapman in Del Rio, Texas. She graduated from Temple High School in 1955 and was also granted the Marriage Majority Rainbow Girl in 1955. She married Arlan Gilbert Gribble of Temple on April 28, 1967. Sandra worked as a meat wrapper and cashier at Strasberger Foods and as a data entry clerk for the Temple Help Center. She also volunteered for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Sandra was a homemaker and loved all of God's creations. She was very knowledgeable, always finishing Tribune crossword puzzles. Sandra was an avid book reader, enjoying mysteries, sci-fi, romances and some of her favorite authors were Julie Garwood, Janet Evanovich, and Donna Andrews.

Sandra is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Terry Johnson; daughter, Colleen Sauer; and brother, Dan Wier.

Survivors include three sons; Larry Johnson, Shane Johnson, and John Johnson; brother, Bob Wier; 29 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
