San Juanita Winky Cooper, 51, of Temple, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2010 in a local hospital. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm, Friday, August 6, 2010 at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
Ms. Cooper was born May 7, 1959 to Geronimo and Guadalupe Lerma Estrada in Temple. She served in the United States Army. She served in Desert Storm. She worked as a registration clerk in the National Guard. Ms. Cooper was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Temple.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Maria Callahan.
Survivors include: sons Ryan Torbet and Michael Torbet both of Arizona, daughters Amber Vajdl of North Carolina, brothers Ray Gomez of Round Rock and Antonio Estrada of Temple. sisters Ramona Rodriguez of Temple, Yondy Shipley of Austin, Elisa Black of Cedar PArk, and lori Blandin of Round Rock and 6 grandchildren.
