Services for Sadie O'Dean Richter, 100, of Temple will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, September 26 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with Reverend Randy Holtzclaw and Reverend Ken Jarrell officiating. Burial will follow in procession to Hillcrest Cemetery.
Sadie Richter died on Wednesday September 20, 2017 at a local care facility.
Sadie O. Richter was born on January 21, 1917 to Wesley Robert Marshall and Verde May Garrison Marshall in Bell County, Texas. She was the oldest of six siblings. She married M.F. Don Richter on September 1, 1935 and celebrated 54 years of marriage. She served as a former Cub Scout den mother and was a Quarter Back Club Member. She was an avid golfer and a charter member of Temple Ladies Public Links Golf Association for 35 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Temple, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her husband, M.F. Don Richter in 1989; son, Kirby Lynn Richter in 2014, and four brothers, Norman O. Marshall, Waldon Marshall Avan Marshall and a sister, Eva Othean Jezek.
Survivors include her son, D. Larry Richter and wife Gracie of Kerrville, Texas; a brother, Marvin Floyd Marshall of Hearne, Texas; six grandchildren, Kyle Richter and wife Amanda of Temple, Texas, Koy Richter and wife Janice of Belton, Texas, Misti Weaver and husband Chance of Memphis, Tennessee, Marli South and husband Bill of Pilot Point, Texas, Layne Richter of Liberty Hill, Texas, and Lacey Richter of Austin, Texas; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; five nieces and two nephews.

Visitation will be held before the service, on Tuesday September 26, from 9:00 am - 10:00 am at Harper-Talasek Funeral Chapel in Temple.
A special thank you to her kind neighbors, Donnese Shine, the Pitts family, and the Noel family for their support; personal care services of Rita Dodge, Edna Reeder, Athena Whitlock and Connie Lenear and, Racheal Wilson; family and friends to include, Paul and Alisa Connell, Eddie and Pam Burris. A special thanks from grandmother to her devoted grandson, Koy Richter, and devoted niece Lee Ann Richter Deal, for their many hours of loving care.
