Ruby Nielsen

Mrs. Ruby Heisch Nielsen, 95, of Temple, died Wednesday, November 19, 2008 in a Temple hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Saturday, November 22, 2008 at Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple with Chaplain Judy Hoelscher officiating.

Mrs. Nielsen was born to Felix and Myrtle Moreland Heisch in Granger, Texas on March 15, 1913. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a secretary with the City of Dallas. She had been a resident of Temple since 1972. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She married Harry Benjamin Nielsen, Sr. on August 19, 1978 in Temple.

Survivors include one stepson, Harry B. Nielsen, Jr. of Temple; one stepdaughter, Nancy Nielsen Abshier of Temple; and two grand-children. She was preceded in death by her first husband, James M. Howe on December 27, 1972 and her second husband, Harry B. Nielsen, Sr. on July 8, 2008. She was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
