Ruben Muro, Sr.

Ruben C. Muro, Sr. age 62, entered into eternal life on January 19, 2019. A time of visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple. Funeral Services for Ruben, will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Cemetery following the services.

Ruben was born on January 27, 1956, to Raymond and Frances Muro in Temple, TX. He married the love of his life, Dominga Granados Muro, on October 25, 1975. He worked for Texas Hydraulics as a machinist for 27 years.

Ruben loved spending time with his family and grandchildren, watching movies and making them laugh. He had a strong faith in God, always had a smile on his face and was known for being a servant to others. He enjoyed going fishing, listening to music and watching Wildcat and Longhorn football. He was an avid grill master and a handy man who was able to fix anything.

He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond E. Muro and two brothers, Eugene Muro and Rosario Muro.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his wife, Dominga Muro; mother, Frances Muro; one son, Ruben Muro, Jr. and wife Angie; one daughter, Juanita Gonzales and husband Chris; three brothers, Eugene C. Muro, Michael Muro and wife Phyllis and John Muro and wife Sandy; three sisters, Diana Diaz and husband Luis, Mary Alice Martinez and husband Greg, and Mary Linda Martinez and husband Richard; seven grandchildren, Jazmine, Aaron, Christian, Rachel, Malary, Tatyana, and Analiyah; and two special, little loved ones Ariana Yepez and Wyatt Davis; as well as many nieces, nephews and other beloved family and friends.
