Ross Whigham

No services are planned for Ross Stewart Whigham, 91, of Temple. Burial will occur at Moffat Cemetery.

Ross S. Whigham died on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at a local care facility.

Ross was born on October 7, 1925 to John Sylvester Whigham and Edith Etoy Stewart in Leon Junction, Texas. Mr. Whigham graduated from Gatesville High School and joined the U.S. Army. He served in during WWII in the 1st Cavary Division, Eighth Regiment (1-8), Company A. He married the love of his life, Ida Evans, in March of 1948. He retired from American Desk after 47 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sisters, one brother, and two sons, Michael Whigham and Gary Whigham, and one grandchild.

Survivors include two daughters, Pam Adams and Patti Finney, eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
