Rosalinda Matamoros

Services for Rosalinda Matamoros, 75, of Temple, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, June 30, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Temple with Father Tom Chamberlain officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Mrs. Matamoros was born March 13, 1939 in Temple to Tiburcio and Calletana Luna. She was raised in Temple and graduated from Temple High School and from Kings Daughters Hospital School of Nursing. She was a nurse in longterm care for over 30 years. At the time of her death, she had been married to Antonio Tony Matamoros for 53 years. Rosalinda had a very strong work ethic and loved her family and grandchildren very much.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tiburcio and Calletana Luna a sister, Adela Garcia a brother, Jessie Luna and beloved granddaughter Rachel Matamoros.

Rosalinda is survived by her husband, Tony children, Michael, Gloria, Paul, and Margaret sisters, Mary Monroy of San Gabriel, California, Ermalinda Guillen of Temple, and Gloria Guillen of Corsicana brothers, Edward Luna of Troy and Robert Luna of Huntsville 8 grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 8 p.m. Sunday, June 29, at HarperTalasek Funeral Home Chapel in Temple. Recitation of Rosary will be at 7 p.m.
