Rosalie, the oldest of three children, was born on April 13, 1926 in Priddy, Texas to Wilhelm (Willie) and Alma Buschmann. She passed from her earthly life on December 26, 2020 and is preceded in death by her husband Grady Tubbs, son Gary Tubbs, sister Ruby Buschmann Murphy, and brother Melvin Buschmann. She is survived by her children: Lynda Tubbs Wall; Bill Tubbs and spouse Virginia; Mike Tubbs; and Debbie Tubbs Smith and spouse William Smith. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
As a young lady, she met her husband Grady, and they were married in 1943. In her younger years while she was cooking, cleaning, washing, and tending to other needs of her husband and children, she loved to listen to old-time country and western, gospel, and Christmas songs. This love for music continued throughout her life. Rosalie also loved dancing to waltzes, polkas, and country and western with her husband Grady. Her cooking will be missed, especially her chicken fried steak, potato salad, and German chocolate cake! Later in life, when God blessed her with grandchildren, she could be seen giving them a grandmother’s generous helping of candy and other treats. She was always ready to go shopping and stay up and party all night with her children and grandchildren when they came to visit! Rosalie also developed a great liking for the game of dominoes, something she probably learned from her father and mother, who later lived in Navasota, TX and could be seen on Friday nights sharing some ice cream and playing the game with close friends.
