Rosa Yepez

Rosa Hernandez Yepez, 87 of Temple, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2010 in a local hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00am Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Temple with Father Ramiro Tarazona officiating. Burial will follow in Temple Garden of Memories in Temple.

Rosa Yepez was born September 1, 1923 to Cleto and Isabel Meave Hernandez in Bloomington, Texas. On February 8, 1948, she was married to Tony Yepez, Sr. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Temple. She worked as a housekeeper at Scott and White Memorial Hospital in Temple for 10 years. She retired in 1978. Mrs. Yepez had also worked for Mobile Chemical. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Temple.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2009, her parents, brothers Joe and Joaquine Hernandez, and sister Margaret Martinez.

Survivors include: sons Tony Yepez, Jr., Ruben Yepez, Sr., David Yepez, and Ricky Yepez, all of Temple, daughters Hopie Cantu and Rosemary Caldera both of Temple, brothers Andrew Hernandez and Jesse Hernandez both of Temple, sisters Antonia Aragon of Temple, Victoria Matte of Boston, Massachusetts, Felipa Maceyra of Lampasas, and Patsy Hernandez Perez of Moffat, 24 grandchildren, and 25 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5:007:00pm Monday at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Temple. Rosary will be recited at 7:00pm.
